Story of Ashes of Time centers around a  middle man for contracting swordsmen, lives a lone in a desert house, where he meet so many interesting individuals…

 

New Boy Jiali, tells the story of Jiali, the newly elected deputy monitor of his junior middle school class.

 

Za Ji Xiao Jing Ling is about a group of kids at a acrobatic troupe.

 

Jing Ling Nü Hai Xiao Zhuo Ma tells a little girl called Zhuo Ma is protecting Tibetan antelope from the harm of the evil.

Released in China this week, Coweb is the first movie directed by China born martial art actor choreographer Xiong Xinxin. It tells a teenage girl bodyguard attempts to rescue her kidnapped client and is forced to join an underground fight ring.

 

In 2004 a Hong Kong man living in poverty killed his young wife and two daughters and committed suicide. The tragedy shocked the city and stirred a public discussion on why the government and welfare organizations failed to prevent it from happening. Night and Fog, helmed by acclaimed woman director Ann Hui, is a movie based on the tragic story,

Iron Man

I Corrupt All Cops

An oil worker's memory is reopened by a shrink. It turns out his father was the colleague of the Iron Man, a hero oil worker in the 1960s.

 

Iron Man tells the true story of Wang Jinxi, an oil worker the 1960s.

 

Hong Kong police force, one of the world's cleanest, was once very corrupted back in the 1960s and 1970s. When the people could no longer stand, ICAC, an independent anti-corruption unit was formed to turn the tide around.

 

I Corrupt All Cops, written and directed by Wong Jing, today's most productive Hong Kong filmmaker, is loosely based on the story of ICAC defeating the corrupted cops. This movie is simultaneously released in Hong Kong and the mainland China.

 

John Rabe, a German-Chinese-French joint production is also released in the mainland China this week. With majority of the cast and crew coming from Germany, this film tells a true story of how John Rabe, a Nazi member, played a key role in protecting the lives of hundreds of thousands people from the beasty Japanese force, which took the Chinese capital city of Nanking (Nanjing) in 1937.
