Donnie Yen has said a sequel to
Dragon Tiger Gate
would be available by the summer of 2007. Key figures, Donnie
Yen, Nicholas Tse, Shawn Yue and director Wilson Yip are
expected work on the sequel. Yen said the main villain in
Dragon Tiger Gate
was defeated but not dead, and he would show up in the sequel.
Li Xiaoran, who played the lover of Donnie Yen's character will
return as her sister.
Dragon Tiger Gate
has been released in Hong Kong, the mainland China and Singapore
last Friday.

Hengdian World Studios of China's
eastern Zhejiang Province has just ended and the
production team is working in Hong Kong for the remaining
principal shooting. Several shots showing a hotel scene with
Donnie Yen's character Wang Xiaohu and his girlfriend, played by
mainland Chinese actress Li Xiaoran, are released today.

Beijing-based Polybona Films. It doesn't show any footage from the film
or will be included in the film, but rather many behind-the-scene shots.

Three promotional stills

looks were designed by Chang Suk-Ping, who worked as the production and
costume designer for many films by Wong Kar-Wai. The new martial-art
film is based on the popular same-name Hong Kong comic series by Tony
Wong. The story is about a group of youngsters fighting the gangs and
protecting the innocent in the streets of Hong Kong. It is directed and
choreographed by Donnie Yen, who also plays the big brother. Production
is currently underway at Hengdian World Studios of Zhejiang Province.
